The 10th China (Hunan) International Mineral and Gem Expo (CMGE) will be held in Chenzhou City from July 8 to 12. As a jade county in Hunan, Linwu will display more than 300 exquisite jade carvings at the CMGE.
This year, the county has collected 16 merchants’ works, including Tongtian jade, Xianghua jade, Shunlong jade as well as mineral crystals, to show their material and culture. This reflects the carving level and techniques of the local carving masters in Linwu County.
The key exhibits include “Half A Quilt”, “Fairland of Taohuayuan” and “Listening to the Wind in Buildings”.
The Tongtian jade carving “Half A Quilt” highly reproduces the revolutionary story that took place in Shazhou, Rucheng County and vividly depicts the eternal original intention of the CPC members to serve the people wholeheartedly.
The work is 41 centimeters long, 30 centimeters wide and 45 centimeters high, featuring exquisite carving, lifelike characters and incisive facial expressions.
This work has won the gold medal at the 2nd Hunan (Linwu) Tongtian Jade Cup and the gold medal of Carving Award.
