The 11th CMGE is slated to take place in Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center from May 19 to 23. The CMGE has been successfully held for ten consecutive years, which ranks among the top three in the world and number one in Asia among the world mineral and gem professional exhibitions.

 

 

The CMGE was originally named China (Changsha) International Mineral and Gem Expo. It is now held once a year in May for five days. The first CMGE in 2013 and the second in 2014 were both held in Changsha City. In August 2014, the People’s Government of Hunan Province decided to launch the third CMGE in 2015 in Chenzhou City, changed the name of the expo into China (Hunan) International Mineral and Gem Expo.

 

In November 2015, after the third CMGE, the People’s Government of Hunan Province made a decision to make Chenzhou the permanent venue of CMGE.

 

Chenzhou City is hailed as the “World Non-ferrous Metals Museum” and “the City of Mineral Crystal”. And the CMGE is also renowned as “the expo in the doorway of the mine” by industry figures and the media from home and abroad. 

 

Since Chenzhou became the fixed venue of holding the CMGE, it has focused on building an “everlasting CMGE” by staying committed to the purposes of gathering global resources, creating an international brand, expanding exchange and cooperation and carrying forward science and civilization. The CMGE, covering a total area of 120,000 square meters, has 1 central pavilion and 3 sub-pavilions with 2,800 international standard booths in total. Almost every session of CMGE can attract more than 1,000 enterprises from more than 50 countries and regions. Among them, more than 30% are from overseas.

 

During the CMGE, tens of thousands of collectors, consumers, experts and other visitors will gather in Chenzhou to enjoy the mineral and gem feast. Through the CMGE, thousands of mineral specimens and rare gems are sold and brought into people’s daily life.
