On December 11, the author was informed from the Agriculture Bureau of Jiahe County that Jiahe County signed 2 projects with a contract amount of 420 million yuan at the Investment Project Signing Ceremony of the 2017 Hunan (Chenzhou) 3rd Agricultural Products Expo.

A total of 36 agricultural investment projects were signed at the expo with contract amount of 13.128 billion yuan and introducing funds of 12.848 billion yuan; 5 agriculture-wholesale market docking projects were signed with contract amount of 560 million yuan, covering the agricultural park construction, organic waste resources utilization in urban and rural areas, ecological agricultural sightseeing gardens construction, eco-food and medicinal materials industry processing and other fields. Among them, Jiahe government signed the industrial park project on planting the Se-enriched sugar orange with Guangxi Rongji Green Seedling Planting Cooperative, an investment of 300 million yuan; the government signed the project on developing the Se-enriched fruits with Dongguan Jiahe Agricultural Products Co. Ltd., an investment of 120 million yuan.

At the expo, Jiahe County with the theme of "Hometown of folk songs, Selenium flourishing Jiahe", displayed the county's unique Se-enriched agricultural products at the special theme pavilion and enterprise pavilion, and showed the vigorous development of the Se-enriched industry in the county in recent years, attracting a lot of citizens and merchants to visit and purchase.

Li Jia, Director of Agriculture Bureau of Jiahe County introduced that 26 enterprises in Jiahe county participated in the expo with 40 booths, including Se-enriched fruits, edible oil, rice, Daogang wine and other 240 kinds of Se-enriched agricultural products .

"The expo provides us with a very good platform and we want to build the Se-enriched products and the market docking through this expo to further strengthen our business and promote our brands." The exhibitors indicated that they should make full use of the expo, take the initiative to meet the market demand and develop the Se-enriched brands in our county to promote the development and growth of the Se-enriched industry in our county.

In recent years, Jiahe County basing on natural Se-enriched resources has carried out the creation of the "Original Se-enriched Industry County" in the whole county and has been supported and fully affirmed by the Provincial Agriculture Committee, Provincial Supplementary Selenium Office and Provincial Se- enriched Industrial Association. In January 2017, Jiahe County was awarded the titles of "Advanced County of Selenium-supplemented Project in Hunan Province" and "'1223' Se-enriched Project Implementation Key County in Hunan Province", which is one of the 4 well-known advanced counties and 7 key counties in the province.
