On the afternoon of May 19, the 6th CMGS Museum Forum, sponsored by Chinese Natural Science Museum Association, was held at Chenzhou International Convention &Exhibition Center. Jia Yueming, Vice President of Chinese Natural Science Museum Association and Curator of China Geological Museum, presided over the forum.

Liu Shuchen, Deputy Curator of China Geological Museum, introduced the role and status of science popularization work in the development of modern society, and systematically expounded the development history of geoscience museums in China and their influence on people's lives. Ouyang Hui, Curator of Chongqing Natural Museum, reviewed his experience in visiting the World Natural Museum in the past, and talked about some thoughts and suggestions on the construction of the natural museum around the changes brought by the modern natural museum to the society. Liu Xianguo, Curator of Yifu Museum at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Jin Xingsheng, Deputy Curator of Zhejiang Natural Museum, and Hu Nengyong, Curator of Hunan Geological Museum, gave the lectures on the "Reflections on the Development of Geological Museum in Colleges and Universities in the new era", "Exhibits Collection and Display in Geoscience Museum" and "Responsibility and Mission of Geoscience Museum in the new era" respectively around the theme of the "New Mission of Geoscience Museum in the new era".

Yan Xuemao, Deputy Party Secretary and Deputy Director of Provincial Department of Land and Resources, and Deputy Mayor Li Wuyi attended the event.
