On the afternoon of September 16, Chenzhou City held a theme presentation conference to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Yi Pengfei, Secretary of the CPC Chenzhou Municipal Committee, delivered a lecture to the participants from three aspects: 70 years of development achievements, 70 years of development experience and re-starting.

Yi Pengfei said that the 70 years since the founding of the PRC have witnessed a great leap in economic strength and comprehensive national strength, 70 years of great improvement in people's living standards, 70 years of marked improvement in social civilization and 70 years of unprecedented improvement in international status. Over the past 70 years, Chenzhou City has undergone tremendous changes in history. Its comprehensive strength has been steadily improved, its economic structure has been continuously optimized, the vigor of reform and opening-up has burst out, its urban and rural landscape has been changing with each passing day, and its people's lives have been constantly improving, which vividly proves the historical leap of the great motherland from standing up, getting rich to becoming strong, and vividly demonstrates the political advantages of the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialist system with Chinese characteristics.

What changed China? Yi Pengfei pointed out that China's road is the code of success, scientific theory is the guide of action, reform and opening up is the key, the people are the source of strength, and the leadership of the Party is the fundamental guarantee. These five experiences are the main internal logic of the development and progress of New China in the past 70 years, which have been fully implemented and applied in the great struggle of the people led by the provincial and municipal Party committees, and fully manifested in the great historical changes of Chenzhou in the past 70 years.

Yi Pengfei demanded that we must always strengthen theoretical armed forces and firm ideals and beliefs; must always maintain strategic determination and firm development confidence; must always adhere to reform and innovation, and expand opening-up; must always adhere to the people first and improve people's well-being; must always adhere to problems; must always strengthen the Party's construction and concentrate on its development.

In view of the future development of Chenzhou, Yi Pengfei emphasized that we should thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions, continue to maintain and carry forward the spirit of hard struggle since the founding of the People's Republic of China in the past 70 years, constantly push forward the cause of reform, opening up and modernization of Chenzhou, and strive to open a new journey of high-quality development in Chenzhou in the new era.
