With the eager anticipation of all walks of life, the 8th CMGE opens today. Here, on behalf of the CPC Chenzhou Municipal Committee of CPC, People's Government of Chenzhou City and over 5.3 million Chenzhou people, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests, paying high tribute to leaders at all levels, departments and people from all walks of life who have given great support and meticulous guidance to the Mineral & Gem Expo over the years. Also, I want to express my heartfelt at home and abroad who care and support the economic and social development of Chenzhou City. 

In 2015，the expo was permanently settled in Chenzhou city. More than 1,000 companies from over 50 countries and regions around the world participated in each session with more than 30 percent foreign exhibitors. The influence of the expo has continued to increase, which makes the expo an international event. This year, we worked hard to overcome the impact of the Covid-19, actively innovating the organization method, integrating the digital economy, leveraging the mining cloud, adopting the offline plus online, doing a line parallel integrated and interactive form to give the expo new connotation, new culture, and new value, and expand the development of mineral gem industry opportunity and new space. In the future, we will work with all parties, striving to make the mining fare better and better, and continuously improving brand influence, market competitiveness, and industry driving force. We will provide the largest stage, the best booth and the best platform for the mineral and gem industry at home and abroad, and create a better future for the mineral and gem industry.

At the keynote of the historical intersection of‘the two centenary goals, general secretary Xi Jinping visited Chenzhou and brought opportunities to the city. Chenzhou, which undertakes major missions such as the National Sustainable Development Agenda Innovation Demonstration Zone, China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Chenzhou area), and South Hunan-West Hunan Undertaking Industrial Transfer Demonstration Zone has great potential and vitality for future development. We will actively adapt to the new requirements of the new development stage, implement the new development concept, actively integrate into the new development pattern, and provide broader investment opportunities and development space for domestic and overseas customers.

I sincerely hope that friends at home and abroad taking the expo as a media, will see Chenzhou as a new field of investment and a new platform for business.
