On the afternoon of December 25, the "Natural Gas into Chenzhou" project (central city - Zixing City - Guiyang County) connecting and "Guiyang - Linwu" section construction commencement ceremony was held. Yi Pengfei, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, attended the ceremony and announced the successful connecting of the "Natural Gas into Chenzhou" project and the commencement of the construction of the "Guiyang - Linwu" section. Liu Zhiren, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

At the ceremony, Yi Pengfei, Liu Zhiren and others jointly connected the natural gas for the central city, Zixing City and Guiyang County of the "Natural Gas into Chenzhou" project.

"Natural Gas into Chenzhou" project is an important part of "Gasification Hunan Project". The completion and commissioning of "Natural Gas into Chenzhou" project marks the end of the history of no long-distance natural gas pipeline in our city. The total length of the gas project is 205.8 km, passing through 20 towns (streets) along Yongxing County, Guiyang County, Beihu District, Suxian District and Zixing City. The "Guiyang - Linwu" section of the project, which is about 60 km in total length, passes through seven towns along the line of Guiyang County, Beihu District and Linwu County, and is expected to be completed in 2022.

Yi Pengfei expressed his gratitude to the departments and units that supported and constructed the project of "Natural Gas into Chenzhou". Yi Pengfei stressed that "Natural Gas into Chenzhou" is a major event that Chenzhou people are looking forward to, and the municipal Party committee and municipal government are committed to promoting natural gas projects into Chenzhou as soon as possible. Successful connecting is the first stage of the "Natural Gas into Chenzhou" project. The next step is to continue to promote the construction of phase II and phase III of the project, so as to ensure that Chenzhou people can use high-quality natural gas in production and life as soon as possible.

Yi Pengfei stressed that "Natural Gas into Chenzhou" is a major livelihood project in Chenzhou. The whole city must make every effort to optimize the construction environment, ensure the smooth implementation of the next phase and the next phase of the project, and ensure that the livelihood project is carried out well, so as to truly benefit the people in Chenzhou and feel that "Natural Gas into Chenzhou" improves the quality of life. Relevant departments and units should do a good job in providing excellent services, strengthen management, and ensure the safety and stability of residents' gas use.

Liu Zhiren pointed out that the natural gas from the long-distance pipeline is about to enter thousands of households in the downtown, Zixing and Guiyang urban areas, and the construction of "Guiyang - Linwu" section is about to officially start, which marks a new step in the construction of urban gas supply infrastructure in our city, a new improvement in the people's production and living conditions, and new major achievements in the construction of people-oriented projects in Chenzhou and benefiting the people. It was hoped that relevant units at all levels would continue to solidly promote the construction of the "natural gas into Chenzhou" project. All units along the line of the project and the masses will fully support the project construction, strive to make the people of the whole city fully share all kinds of dividends after the completion of the long-distance pipeline, continuously enhance the masses' sense of gain, happiness and security, and promote Chenzhou to open a new era of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way.
