Linwu county saw fruitful results in foreign trade in the first quarter of this year. It’s expected to complete an import and export volume of 7.2907 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 20.15%. At the same time, production-oriented enterprises realized a zero breakthroughs in foreign trade, and three new enterprises achieved foreign trade for the first time.

Zhang Xuesheng, general manager of Hunan Lingdong Technology Co., Ltd., said that the company has preliminarily confirmed some orders in the past three months, and the orders for 20,000 tablet PCs have been finally confirmed. In addition, the subsequent negotiations after the exhibition are still actively progressing, and the overall business continues to show a positive trend.
Hunan Lingdong Technology was established and put into operation in Linwu County in October 2022, achieving rapid growth in foreign trade business in just over two years.
In 2024, it made zero breakthroughs in foreign trade, with a total value of 2.02 million US dollars. And it’s estimated that the company will achieve 400,000 US dollars from January to March this year.
“Our business is currently divided into foreign trade and domestic sales, with each accounting for 50%. As the company enters a rapid expansion stage, we are confident in achieving our sales target of 5 million US dollars this year. In the future, we will further enhance the market competitiveness of our products by actively participating in overseas exhibitions and increasing resource investment,”said Zhang Xuesheng.
Similarly, as a local tea enterprise in Linwu County, Hunan Dongshan Yunwu Tea Industry Co., Ltd. made progress in foreign trade in the first quarter of this year. The company successfully opened up the international market through international exhibitions, e-commerce sales and other channels.
Hu Wupin, chairman of Dongshan Yunwu Tea, introduced that in January of this year, the company’s Guanlaye calcium-fortified tea, achieved a “zero” breakthrough in international trade.
At present, it has signed and completed eight orders in Hong Kong, two orders in Singapore, and one order in Australia for this product. In addition, the company has been actively exploring the Central African market, with two export trade orders completed for the first time.
In recent years, the county government has taken multiple measures to promote stable growth in foreign trade. It organized enterprises to participate in domestic and international exhibitions to get orders and expand markets, focused on cultivating characteristic industries like lithium battery, electronic capacitor and agricultural products to create new growth points for foreign trade.
In addition, one-to-one guidance services is provided for enterprises to explore overseas markets.
“I have strong confidence in the current situation of foreign trade. Currently, we have multiple foreign trade orders under negotiation. And we are full of expectations for the development of foreign trade business, and I believe that with our strength and efforts, we will achieve great results in foreign trade,” said Hu Wupin.
