It was learned from the promotion conference of establishing harmonious temples and churches in Chenzhou city that 53 units of the first batch successfully reached the establishment targets. Among all the 53 units, 2 units were awarded as national advanced unit, one person was awarded as national advanced individual, 4 units as provincial advanced unit, one person as provincial advance individual, and all units well met the establishment with an excellent rate of 81%.

Chenzhou city carried out the establishment activity of harmonious temples and churches from 2009. Till now, all the 53 units of the first batch have fulfilled the standards and targets. Christian church- Shiguangtang in Chenzhou city and Medicine King Temple in Anren county were awarded as national advanced unit, and Shizhijin who is in Puji temple of Jiahe county was awarded as provincial advanced unit on this establishment work of harmonious temples and churches.

It was learned that there are 352 temples, churches and other religious places in Chenzhou city. Besides the first batch of 53 units, the rest 299 units should be fulfilled the establishment work within 2013. The theme of the establishment work of 2012 was confirmed as “safety” by State Bureau of Religious Affairs, which carried out the “year of safety” work nationwide. All the temples and churches in Chenzhou should follow the eight basic establishment standards like being patriotic, legal, unified & stable, orderly, decent, regularly managed, clean and ministrant in order to promote the establishment work and ensure all the targets realized.
