That is Real “Show Opened on Pithead”

2016-05-24

An interview with Federico Pezzotta- Chairman of Museum Commission of International Minerology Association

In the morning of May 20, 2016, Federico Pezzotta- Chairman of Museum Commission of International Minerology Association took the interview when he attended the 4th CMGS summit forum in Chenzhou city.

Currently, there are 36 members available for Museum Commission of International Minerology Association which contributes greatly on the research of minerology, formulation of international regulations for minerals, collections and displays of mineral treasures, and etc.

“Chenzhou city is an amazing place!” Mr. Pezzotta highly appraised the “world’s non-ferrous metals museum” and “city of mineral crystals of China”.

As Mr. Pezzotta stated, it lays sound foundation for fixing CMGS on Chenzhou city on the basis of its unique natural condition, location advantage, and sound marketing opportunity. It is real “show opened on the pithead”. It is a “feast” of the world’s mineral gems as well. The exhibitors from over 40 countries as the USA, Germany, Australia, Canada, South Africa, and etc. gathered together to show their treasures on the 2300 international standard stands, which can be comparable with the USA Tucson Show and Germany Munich Show, no matter on scale or influence. 26-ton native cropper, black and white “Brazil rose”, the largest flower shape calcite-“hibiscus”, and other treasures are really eye-openers.

Mr. Pezzotta also said that Chinese people used to buy mineral gems abroad. But now thanks to this international show, both domestic and international mineral gems are capable to show to international buyer, which is helpful to popularize Chinese market and accelerate Chinese mineral gem industry to be integrated into global industrial chain. Mr. Pezzotta believed that more people would be attracted to attend the show in future.

“Is there any further cooperation between Museum Commission of International Minerology Association and China & Chenzhou city?” asked the journalist.

Mr. Pezzotta stated that both parties should enhance the cooperation on the basis of the show and mineral gems and work together to promote the further development of mineral gem industry. In the meantime, Mr. Pezzotta highly supported to settle the 8th International Minerology and Museum Conference in Chenzhou city next year, which is planned to be held together with the 5th CMGS. He hoped it can help to promote the communication and cooperation between Museum Commission of International Minerology Association and Chinese mineral gem industry.
