Recently, the Department of Natural Resources of Hunan Province sent a special letter to the Bureau of Natural Resources of Suxian District, Chenzhou City, informing and praising the construction of green mines in Suxian District, and fully affirming the high attention, initiative, effective measures and outstanding achievements of Suxian District in the construction of green mines.

Over the past year, Suxian District has thoroughly studied and implemented the ecological civilization thought, conscientiously implemented the "two mountains" concept, and carried out the mine safety production, open pit mine special rectification and mine ecological restoration and tackling hard work on the basis of grasping the normal epidemic prevention and control of mines. It has promoted the construction of green mining in the whole district to go deep and solid, and has built 8 green mines as of the end of 2020, among which the national green level is China. There are 3 mines, ranking the first among the counties and cities in the province. 

Strong organization

The construction of green mines has been highly valued by the Suxian District government. The Secretary of the District Party Committee has been set up as the consultant, the district head as the group leader, the deputy district head as the deputy leader, the leading group of the green transformation and reform of mining transformation as the member of the relevant departments and the town's leading members, to carry out the ecological civilization thought and adopt the strategy of "Ecological priority, green development". Based on the current situation of mineral resources development and utilization in Suxian District, Suxian District has highlighted the problem orientation, vigorously promoted the special rectification of sand and gravel mines, closed and cancelled 12 sand and gravel mines, took the lead in completing the rectification and closure task, and prepared the sand and gravel special planning with high standards. The geological environment of 16 mines and the pit closure of 2 metal mines have been restored, with a total investment of 9 million yuan and 850 mu of mine land restored.

Advance orderly

According to the provincial green mine standards, the Natural Resources Bureau of Suxian District compiled the "three year action plan for green mine construction", with wall chart operation, special personnel in charge of mine division, active service, inviting provincial and municipal leading experts to guide and promote the construction of green mines; in the case of district financial tension, they have given priority to guarantee the third-party evaluation funds for green mines.

Strengthen supervision

The main leaders and leaders in charge of Suxian District government went deep into the field investigation and inspection of mining enterprises for many times, and held the green mine work promotion meeting and open pit mine renovation meeting for many times, urging the green mine founding units to further improve their understanding, change their ideas, increase capital investment, strictly follow the green mine standards, and implement the management list and supervision informatization. The rectification notice was issued for the construction of green mines.

The next step is to further enhance the political standing in Suxian District, thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought, and promote the transformation of mining industry to green development as the main line, comprehensively enhance the quality and efficiency of mining development in Suxian District, and make persistent efforts to complete the task of deploying green mines in provinces and cities, and contribute to the development of Suxian's social economy green and high-quality.
