It was learned from the tourism department of Zixing city that 2015 Dongjiang lake- Sandu first lotus festival with the theme of "enjoying lotus, traveling Xiangnan ancient dwellings" would be opened on July 4,2015 in Liuhuawan village of Sandu Town. The festival will last to September 1,2015, which would become a good choice for travelers to spend their summer leisure time there.

It was introduced that there are three highlights for the lotus festival: first, visitors can enjoy a lotus feast with series delicious dishes made of lotus; second, visitors can have fun of farming as cow irrigation, picking vegetable, grinding Toufu, fishing, finding treasures in the lotus lake, and etc.; third, visitors can travel around Xiangnan ancient dwellings" in Liuhuawan village that 8 ancient dwellings are located there; and forth, visitors can enjoy some ancient engineerings and crafts on their trip and can make their private crafts as well.
