Chenzhou mode on transportation construction and management

 

Thanks to public bus integration in urban and rural areas, the villagers who live in Shuiwei village, Bantou town, Jiahe county are available to take public bus in their village.

 

Thanks to the Xiarong expressway, large areas of idle farming lands in Pinghe village of Yizhang county were improved to be the ecological vegetable production base.

 

Thanks to the highway from Reshui to Wenying, the neighbors who are from Jiangxi province can come to enjoy the hot spring of Reshui town by motorcycle.

 

Thanks to the protection and efficient governance of overload of Guilin highway, the building stones collected from the quarry of Taihe town, Guiyang county were transferred to Huaxin Concrete Plant in Beihu district.

 

All people who benefited from the free transportation can’t help expressing their happiness to the reporters. Thanks to the free transportation, their daily lives were changed and improved greatly.

 

From “great transportation battle” to “great transportation construction”, Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government powerfully promoted the transportation construction with all the efforts of Chenzhou society in recent three years. Transportation construction, transportation decoration, transportation governance, transportation management, and etc. were boosted in Chenzhou city, which improve Chenzhou city’s transportation condition from “makeup” to “surpass”.

 

In recent three years, the records for the development of Chenzhou city’s transportation construction were constantly being transcended on the full speed construction rhythm.

 

The scale of construction broke the historic record. In recent years, the scale of transportation projects hit 2398 items, including 3 expressways of 474kms, 38 national and Hunan provincial arterial highways of 520kms, and 436 rural highways of 1670kms. The 26 arterial highways projects of 508kms which were covered into “twelfth five-year plan” have almost been finished.

 

The transportation mileages broke the historic record. Till now, 17,575kms transportation mileages are available in Chenzhou city, including 576kms expressway mileages and over 1400kms first and second class highways. The density of highway every one hundred kilometers was increased to 91.1kms from the level of 59.6kms before 2008. Both the total mileages and density are higher than Hunan provincial average level and Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Ganzhou and some other cities, which are equal to the moderately developed countries level.

 

The investment of capitals broke the historical record. In recent three years, the total investment placed on Chenzhou city’s transportation construction was amounted to 40billion yuan which was eight times of the total amount of“ninth five-year plan” and “tenth five-year plan”. Chenzhou city kept ranking the first place on the transportation investment among other cities of Hunan province. Such great investment was never seen before in Chenzhou city.

 

In the three years, with the great efforts of all constructors, Chenzhou city’s transportation pattern was greatly changed.

 

The 70kms long and 8lanes Chenzhou Avenue is the longest arterial highway of Hunan province built in one time, which helped to accelerate the melting of Chen-Zi-Gui areas. It just takes 20 minutes drive from Chenzhou urban area to Zixing city and Guiyang county with this avenue. Chenyong Avenue which is with the same standard as Chenzhou Avenue is capable to save the time from Chenzhou urban area to Yongxing county to about 20 minutes as well.

 

Facilitated with the belts of east-west Chenzhou Avenue and south-north Chenyong Avenue and some other inter-city avenues , the urban area of Zixing city and downtowns of Guiyang county, Yizhang county and Yongxing county were gathered with the shape of “cross”. These avenues worked as two main arteries to transfer the nutrition to the core area, and also helped to improve the development of small towns around them. It became the core area of Chenzhou great cross town cluster. Till now, the urbanization rate of the core area is 51%, which contributed 78%, 87% and 84% GDP, total scaled industrial output value and fiscal revenue to Chenzhou city respectively. It became an area with most concentrated population, most abundant resources, most advanced industries, most intensive urbanization, and closest economic connection and also became the core increasing pole of Chenzhou economy and new urbanization.

 

Transportation construction is a relay race and a pioneering work as well. Each relay baton means the mission for expansion of lands. Let’s work together to promote the transportation construction and compose a more splendid chapter with freer transportation condition and better development.
