On March 26, the reporter learned from the Municipal Transport Department that the website of Provincial Department of Transportation released the "13th Five-Year Development Plan for Hunan Tourism Scenic Road", and a total of 121.22 km of 28 rated scenic spots and 14 unrated scenic spots in Chenzhou was brought under the planning of province's tourist scenic road construction, a total investment of 344 million yuan.
In recent years, to meet the development of the tourism market, the city's road departments took the initiative in the arterial road and rural road construction planning, project approval and so on, actively docked with the global tourism development planning, promoted the road upgrading and quality improvement according to the priorities and vigorously improved the road network level and access depth.
Due to the complexity of the terrain, the weak foundation of rural roads, the difficulty of construction, the high cost and other many factors, a large number of rural roads projects implemented by Chenzhou early years only complemented according the principal of roads construction and first-access-last-smooth. Although it basically met the travel of masses, because of the low technical level, incomplete security facilities and many extended service sections, has been difficult to meet the needs of the development of the situation. According to the survey, a total of 141.37 kilometers road in 42 tourist spots need to be transformed, of which secondary road of 12.73 km, third-class road of 2.92 km, fourth-class road of 94.52 km and substandard road of 31.20 km.
It was understood that taking Chenzhou City as the growth pole of provincial tourism development planning, Dongjiang Lake Leisure Resort Area had been brought under the planning of province's 12 key tourism functional areas construction. During the"13th Five-Year Plan" period, in accordance with the focus to solve the traffic problems in A-level scenic spots, and the overall goal of basically meeting the development requirements of non-A-level scenic spots, the rated scenic spots need connect with a at least not less than 5 meters width of the road, which means that the "last mile" restricting the development of scenic spots will be opened up.
