Extension of East Renmin Road Officially Opens

Affected by typhoon "Bailu", a rainstorm made Chenzhou's night cool. At 0 o'clock on August 26, construction workers removed the roadblock at the entrance of Yangjiaping Tunnel, marking the official opening of the extended section of East

 

The extension section of East Renmin Road, started on June 29, 2016, is a major infrastructure project to open the third traffic link between the central urban area and Chengdong New Area in the city.

 

The extension section of the Eastern Renmin Road starts at the Yangjiaping intersection of Chenjiang Road in the West and connects Chenxian Road in the east, with the total length of about 4.2 kilometers. Two of the tunnels (Yangjiaping Tunnel and Jiudujiang Tunnel) are 1300 meters long, the overpass of Jiudujiang Road is 95 meters long, the underpass of Jinggang-Macao Expressway is 58 meters long, the overpass of X091 Line is 130 meters long and the underpass of Youth Avenue is 100 meters long, 23-37 meters in width. It is constructed according to the standard of urban main road and designed at a speed of 50 km/h.

On August 23, Chenzhou Development Investment Group Co.,Ltd. organized the Municipal Traffic Police, Urban Management, Fire Control, Municipal Administration, Quality and Safety Station to carry out pre-acceptance for the completion of the extension project of East Renmin Road, and fulfilled the project schedule node target required by the Chenzhou Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government.

 

The opening of the extended section of East Renmin Road will effectively relieve the traffic pressure around the Shiliuwan Bridge on Chenjiang Road and Youth Avenue, and play an important role in accelerating the integration and development of the old and new urban areas and building the upgraded version of Chenzhou City.
