On January 4, the two sections of Beihu airport runway project were successfully closed, which marked the completion of the concrete pouring construction of Beihu Airport runway.

It was understood that the runway of Beihu Airport is 2600 meters long and 45 meters wide, with a total length of 38 cm and a pavement thickness of 42 cm. The bidding for the project was completed in August last year, and the construction of water stabilized layer began at the end of September, and the concrete pouring construction began at the end of October.

In order to ensure the quality of the construction period, the construction unit prepared materials in advance, and prepared nearly 50000 cubic meters of high-quality natural river sand and 90000 cubic meters of qualified gravel; the construction party overcame the low temperature and rainy weather, scientifically studied and judged the temperature change, strengthened the cold protection and heat preservation work of the pavement, and ensured the completion of the project on schedule.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Transportation and Investment Company, as of the end of December 2020, 48 sub projects of Beihu Airport have been completed, and all projects have entered the construction stage. Among them, the pavement project is 100 percent, the central substation and tower project are basically completed, and the equipment debugging is in progress; the navigation lighting project, weak current and air traffic control project, and oil supply project are 90 percent, which are expected to be completed before January 20, 2021, reaching the flight conditions; the terminal area interior decoration and equipment installation, station square and greening are expected to be completed around April. At present, the construction of Beihu Airport project is under the construction, striving for the goal of navigation in July.
