The headquarters economic building is an important part of the core logistics hub area of Chenzhou Land Port, covering a total construction area of 31,234.67 square meters.

Once completed, first-class supporting facilities such as the planned exhibition center, import and export trade public service platform, and international logistics will effectively promote the integration of resources and complement advantages of enterprises.

“Building headquarters economic building will further expand the level of Chenzhou’s opening-up to the outside world and play an important role in promoting the development of local advantageous industries.” Cao Shijie, deputy general manager of Chenzhou Baifu Investment Group, introduced that Chenzhou Land Port Logistics Core Hub plans to build 1 full-train and 7 half-train railway freight loading and unloading lines. It will focus on building a national second-level railway logistics base based on the China-Europe freight train and the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal transport channel.

As the owner unit, Baifu Company has completed an investment of 2.337 billion yuan. Since the operation of Chenzhou Land Port in September 2022, the port has fully laid out industries like logistics and commercial services, helping Hunan products and Chenzhou products integrate into the economic circles of China-Africa, China-Europe and ASEAN, showing a flourishing momentum of open development.

Over the past decade since the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was proposed, Chenzhou Land Port has seized the development opportunities to accelerate open development.

With the goal of “building a 100-billion-yuan land port and an open new area in Hunan, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces”, Chenzhou Land Port focuses on building a multimodal transport system.

It strives to be an international cooperation demonstration zone driven by pilot free trade zone and land port, an important trade hub for BRI international corridor, a production service-oriented national logistics hub, and an international nonferrous metals distribution and trading center.

Since the beginning of this year, the railway freight throughput of Chenzhou Land Port has reached 4.46 million tons, an increase of 35%. 6,362 TEUs were handled through Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal freight trains, reducing logistics costs for enterprises by 30%. A total of 83 direct trains have been operated after the Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong Single E-lock Scheme was launched. And the international express center cleared 297,490 consignments of goods.

Next, Chenzhou Land Port will make utmost efforts to help Chenzhou’s mineral products go global, and develop it into a land port headquarters economic center, a distribution center of Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region, and an international cooperation demonstration zone with free trade zone plus land port.
