Linwu county launches bus route to Lianzhou, Guangdong

2025-01-25

After two months of efforts, the first inter-provincial bus route from Linwu county in Chenzhou city to Lianzhou city in Guangdong province was officially opened to traffic recently.

This ensures the “last-mile” travel of villagers, and further promotes economic and cultural exchanges between the two regions.

The bus route starts from Linwu County Bus Terminal, passes through Linwu County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Nanqiang, Huangtang Village and Guantoudong Village in Dalubian Town, Lianzhou City, and ends at Shantang Station in Lianzhou City, with a total distance of 30 kilometers. There are 3 round-trip trips per day, with a one-way full fare of 11 yuan.

Linwu County is located in the south of Hunan Province, bordering on Lianzhou of Guangdong Province. The residents of the two places have frequent exchanges and close economic and cultural exchanges.

Previously, the buses in Lianzhou city only got to Shantang village, but the four natural villages under its jurisdiction are far away from each other, coupled with the policy restrictions that urban and rural buses can not operate across the province, resulting in a vacancy in the passenger line from Linwu to Lianzhou Shantang area, which has brought a lot of inconvenience to the residents of the two places.

In response to the urgent demand of the public for this bus route, the local governments of the two places decided to launch this bus route.

Linwu county is an important agricultural county in the province, with abundant agricultural and tourism resources. This bus route radiates to five or six surrounding villages, benefiting more than 10,000 people.

This route will provide a broader market for the sales of agricultural products in Linwu County and thus promote the development of local agriculture.

At the same time, it will also bring new opportunities for the tourism industry in Linwu County and promote the prosperous development of the local economy.
