General plan deployment conference of the festival was held on April 23

Zhou Yingchun- member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Standing Committee and Chief of Chenzhou Propaganda Department was present at the conference

It was learned from the deployment conference of 2012, China, Hunan International Tourism Festival and the Second Chenzhou International Leisure Tourism Festival that the festival will open on Sep. 12, 2012 at Dongjiangwan Square of Zixing city.

Activities for this festival include: viewing great wonder of tiny Dongjiang River covered by mist, opening ceremony of the festival, the alliance ceremony for Jilin water rim and tiny Dongjiang River scenic region and the night of Dongjianghu Lake-which represent Hunan culture and Chenzhou customs and folks. Besides, there are series of activities like Chenzhou tourism resources promotion meeting, Chenzhou tourism products expo, Chenzhou Classic Travelling lines visit, 2012 Chenzhou music week, Chenzhou customs and folks show and the second rare stones exhibition, etc. which will be held by municipal subordinate departments and association in this festival. Meanwhile, the urban counties will also hold a series of events, such as Zixing will host the bicycle international challenge around Dongjianghu lake, "the night of Dongjianghu lake"-Tsingtao (Dongjianghu) beer carnival, and etc..

In the conference, it is pointed out that Chenzhou should further promote its tourism brand "city in the forest, leisure Chenzhou", should upgrade Chenzhou tourist international level by propelling the construction of tourism projects and quality improvement of city construction, and should create tourist destination image by highlighting Chenzhou unique features, building the tourism festival brand and shaping the overall image of tourism destination.
