It was learned from Chenzhou Artist Association that Art Hunan- art exhibition of Hunan great historic themes was held in Beijing China Revolutionary Military Museum from September 11 to 16, 2012. This exhibition was hosted by China Artist Association, Hunan Propaganda Ministry and Hunan Literary Federation, and was undertaken by Hunan Artist Association. The printmaking“2008-Ice-Chenzhou Memory” which was created by Huang Yuanqiang- member of China Artist Association and president of Chenzhou Artist Association and youth artist Huang Zefeng was awarded with the first prize in this exhibition. This printmaking is huge black/white wood printing with the size of 1.1 meters high and 5 meters wide. It consists of 5 printing as “Tangshan brothers”, “rebuilding the home”, “consensus effort”, “family love” and “military song in ice”. This printmaking seems to take audiences back to the ice disaster site in the early of 2008 in which people’s army, 13 peasant workers from Tangshan, and electrical power staffs nationwide fought against the ice disaster together with Chenzhou people. It took about 4 years to finish this art work from its start in 2008.
