The opening ceremony of the first TV series, movies and drama writer seminar of Hunan province was held in Liuyi villa, Longnv hot spring, Chenzhou city on October 22, 2012. Tan Zhongchi- Vice Chairman of Hunan Provincial CPPCC and President of Hunan Literary Federation attended this ceremony. Zhou Yingchun- member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Minister of Chenzhou Propaganda Ministry delivered a speech there.

On behalf of Chenzhou municipal party committee and Chenzhou government, Zhou Yingchun expressed her congratulations on the opening of this seminar, and introduced the developments achieved on Chenzhou economy and society in recent years. This seminar would highly encourage and spur the literary and artistic work, especially the opera industry of Chenzhou. By seizing this chance, Chenzhou city would forcefully explore and innovate new ways on literary and arts to create more classic works for the further contribution of Chenzhou economy and society development.

This seminar was organized by Hunan Provincial Federation of Literary and Art, aiming at cultivate more excellent writers to create more fine works, and establish a platform for the communication among writers. More excellent writers would stand out after that seminar to express their talents in an expanded area. Meanwhile, it would help to promote the works to be more popularized and even enter into the market.

It was learned that the seminar would last six days. More than 40 writers enrolled and submitted about 50 plays to the seminar. Some nationwide famous experts on televisions, films and dramas like Zhong Chengxiang, Zhai Junjie, Wang Xingdong, Zhai Min, etc. would give lectures to the attendants during this seminar.
