Because of the hot season, spring water was with increasing sales recently. But some students from Chenzhou Ninth Primary School who attended a social practice named “empty bottle” found that many bottles of water were wasted for just drinking some.

It was introduced by Chenxing- one of the students attended the social practice that: “6 bottles from tens of empty bottles I collected in Beihu Park were with water, some were even 2/3 left. Besides the bottles, some rubbish were left in the park which made the park look untidy and uncomfortable.”

Besides the parks, the students noted that football fields, basketball fields, volleyball fields and other places where were the favorite sports centers of students were with the similar situation as the parks that many spring water bottles left with water were thrown by people. It was sincerely too waste of water resources.

Due to this discovery of waste of water, Cao Xinming who was a teacher from Chenzhou Ninth Primary School launched the “empty bottle” activity and practiced the activity not to open new one before drinking out one bottle of water.

It was introduced by Mr. Cao that some water labels would be dispatched to the passers-by in parks, leisure places, pavements, etc.. Such labels were used to stick out the bottle and made sure people can select theirs correctly, so they can keep drinking it without waste.

It was highly affirmed by the school and society for handling this kind of activity, for it was significant to make all the society to be aware of saving water and help the pupils form the habit to save water from their childhood.
