It was learned from Hunan Kunqu Opera Troupe that it would go to Taiwan to present their performances to local people from May 6 to 13, 2014. The troupe was invited by Taiwan Kunqu Opera.
Hunan Kunqu Opera was a pretty name card for Chenzhou city. As introduced by Luoyan- head of the troupe that it was the largest scale external cultural exchange activity handled out by the troupe in recent years. It was a folk culture communication for this Taiwan trip and also it was the first time for the troupe to performance in Taiwan from its establishment. Most of the performers for this trip were young and middle-aged artists of Kunqu opera. They selected some classic dramas of Kunqu opera for this trip, such as “White Rabbit”,“the Romance of a Hairpin” and some scenes. All of these were the highest level for the troupe. At the meantime, the young performers of the troupe would perform with some actors of Taiwan Kunqu Opera Troupe and also study Taiwan troupe’s famous performance of “Fengzhengwu”.
Lei Ling- winner of plum blossom prize which is the highest level prize of Chinese dramatic performance and one of the performers of Hunan Kunqu Opera Troupe talked to the reporters that some young actors and she would visit Taiwan Dongwu University, Central University, Taibei Education University and some other colleges and middle schools to share the joys and arts of Kunqu opera with the students.
