It was reported that Linwu county’s folk song “the couple go to town”won “top ten” excellent performances in the finals for original group of the first folk song contest of Chenzhou city on Oct. 28, 2014. In recent years, the inheritors of Linwu county’s folk songs tried best to introduce new things into traditional folk songs and created many new plays by the original folk song singing mode, which were well received by the masses.
