It was reported that first Chenzhou Calligraphy & Arts Masterpieces Exhibition was opened in Zhongxuan Calligraphy Hall in Yuhou street. 127 masterpieces were shown on the exhibition, most of which are national level works while rests are provincial level ones.

Li Chunxiang who won national arts award for 5 consecutive years, Liu Xiaping who is famous calligrapher and engraver, Yan Fuxing who is a famous painter aged 72years and some other local masters presented their works on the show. Furthermore, 6 masters as Qian Songjun- professor of China Calligraphy Association and others were invited to display their works. Different styles of calligraphy, different shapes, and different display patterns helped to impress all audience with graceful art atmosphere.

It was introduced that this exhibition would be closed on November 21, and the auction would be handled at the same day.
