It was reported that Chenzhou Arts Center worked together with Suxian Cultural Center to handle an activity for propagandizing Chenzhou city’s traditional culture and intangible cultural heritages on March 1, 2016.

“Anren Ganfenshe is a grand folk cultural event organized by Anren county to memorize Shennong who firstly established Chinese agricultural culture and Chinese herbal medicine culture. This event will be held on the Spring Equinox (4th solar term) of Chinese Lunar Year calendar every year. In 2014, it was enrolled into 4th batch of national intangible cultural heritages directory.” Kunqu opera, Xiangju opera, Linwu Nuo opera, Rucheng joss sticks dragon dance, Yizhang night story, and some other intangible cultural heritages were introduced on the activity by posting introduction and pictures on some boards.

In recent years, Chenzhou city paid great attention on the inheritance, propaganda, and productive protection of the intangible cultural heritages. Till now, 7 items, 14 items, and 74 items were enrolled into national, Hunan provincial, and Chenzhou municipal intangible heritages directory respectively. There are 4 national inheritors, 13 Hunan provincial inheritors, and 100 Chenzhou municipal inheritors available for it. It also established 48 Chenzhou municipal level bases and schools for the inheritance of intangible cultural heritages.
