No. 11: Xifengdu Fish Noodle


Brief introduction: Xifengdu fish noodle is one of the most famous snacks of Chenzhou city. It is originated from Xifengdu village, Suxian district and is one of the most popular breakfasts of Chenzhou city. It is also an important part of Hunan gourmet. In 2016, its manufacturing engineering was enrolled into 4th batch of Hunan provincial intangible cultural and representative heritage directory.

 

No. 12: Reshui Hot Spring

Brief introduction: Rucheng Reshui hot spring is the leading role and core scenic spot of Chenzhou city’s establishment of “hot spring county of China”, as well as national 4A tourism landscape, Hunan provincial tourism landscape and Hunan provincial tourism resort. It is a famous name card of hot spring fitness and tourism of Chenzhou city and south China. It is a natural hot spring with the highest temperature ( about 98℃), best water quality, and largest hot springs among all others of south China.

 

No. 13 Suxianling 

Brief introduction: Suxianling is famous for the legend of Suxian. It was enrolled into the first batch of Hunan provincial tourism resorts. The main peak is 526meters higher than sea level. It was honored as “the 18th blessing place of China” from ancient Chinese history. White Deer Cave, Immortal Stone, Mother Waiting Pine, and some other relics related to the legend and the natural sceneries of Suxianling are very attractive to visitors. The stele which carved with Mi Fu’s calligraphy of Qin Shaoyou’s poem- “Tashaxing- Chenzhou Hotel” inscribed with Su Dongpo’s postscript was approved as Hunan Provincial Key Cultural Relics Protection Sites. After Xi’an’s Incident, General Zhang Xueliang was once confined here.

 

No.14 Tongtian Jade

Brief introduction: Tongtian Jade which is the exclusive jade resource discovered by Hunan Province and a newly discovered excellent quartz jade resource of China is with high level notability and influence in Hunan province even China. Due to its features of fine, bright, transparent, rich color, strong hardness, good for carving, and etc., Tongtian Jade is popular and highly recommended by fans of jade collectors of China.

 

No. 15: Hunan Kunqu Opera

Brief introduction: Kunqu Opera is one of the regional operas of Hunan province. Suzhou Kunqu Opera, Beijing Kunqu Opera and Hunan Kunqu Opera are homologous, all of which were enrolled into the first batch of “oral and intangible cultural heritage directory”. It was firstly promoted to Hunan province in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. It was being improved together with some local operas as Qi Opera, and then shaped its unique style. Master Mei Lanang honored it as “Hunan Kunqu Opera”. It is one of the name cards of Chenzhou city for cultural communication.

 

No.16: Xiangnan Uprising

Brief Introduction: In January 1928, Zhu De and Chen Yi launched Xiangnan Uprising by leading the remainders of Nanchang Uprising. Tens of counties were covered into this campaign. It contributed great experience to Chinese revolution by applying the uprising campaign together with workers and farmers’ campaign, as well as armed combat and land revolution. In order to memorize this great event, Xiangnan Uprising Memorial Hall which is covered with 4886 square meters areas was built in Dongta Hill of Chenzhou city on July 8, 2010. It becomes a Hunan provincial patriotism education base and one of the key red tourism scenic spots of Chenzhou city.

 

No. 17 Hunan- Guangdong Ancient Trail

Brief Introduction: Hunan- Guangdong Ancient Trail is the one with longest history and best reserved condition among all other ones available in Hunan province. It was used to be an important transportation channel between central China and Lingnan area. It was built in 33th year reigned by Qin Shi Huang, which enabled it to be the “ancestor” of Chinese modern highway. There are waterway and landway for the section of Chenzhou city. The landway which is from Yuhou street of Chenzhou urban area to Nanguan street of Yizhang county is called as ancient horse trail as well. It is about 90miles long. Yuhou street which is the beginning of the ancient trail is with over 2200 years history.

 

No. 18 Emperor Yi Mausoleum

Brief introduction: Emperor Yi Mausoleum is located in Wenhua road of Chenzhou urban area. It was recorded that in October, 205BC, Emperor Yi was killed in Chenxian by his opponents. He was buried in southwest of Chenzhou city and his tomb is Emperor Yi Mausoleum. From Han Dynasty, this tomb was well reserved by local people. The stele of Emperor Yi which was dated to Northern Song Dynasty was also kept in the tomb. Emperor Yi’s moving to Chenzhou well showed the historical culture of the city and highly proved its history of over 2200 years.

 

No.19 Take-off Place of Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team

Brief Introduction: The training base of Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team was built in Chenzhou city after “the Cultural Revolution”. The team won the champions for 5 consecutive times in 1980s, so Chenzhou city was honored as the take-off place of Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team.

 

No. 20 Silver City of China

Brief introduction: the silver yield capacity of Yongxing county is more than one quarter of the whole Chinese market. It is with over 300 years history of gold and silver smelting history. In 2002. it was named as “silver city of China” by China Non-ferrous Metals Association Silver Sub-association. Yongxing Silver Tower which was built with over 2500kgs silver was famous as “the first silver tower of China” which highly represents the 300-year-old silver culture history of Yongxing county. Except the tile roof, the main parts of the tower were decorated by silver. It is famous tourism destination of Yongxing county.
