Currently, over 100 experts from the State Culture Ministry and Hunan Provincial Culture Department visited Youwan Village, Shuidong Town, Linwu County and highly appreciated local intangible cultural heritage- Youwan Nuo Opera.
Followed the spirit of “People’s Republic of China’s Law on Intangible Cultural Heritages”, Linwu County paid closer attention on the features of local cultural heritages and gained great achievements on the protection work. With their efforts, Linwu Nuo Opera was enrolled into the list of national intangible cultural heritages, Qi Opera was listed into Hunan provincial intangible cultural heritages, and Linwu Minor Key, Linwu Tiaolong, and Linwu Long-drum Dance were approved by the experts of Hunan provincial intangible cultural heritages, 8 items were enrolled into Chenzhou municipal level list, and 18 items were in the county level list.
It was introduced by the principal of Linwu County Media Group that the county is working hard on the construction of Hunan Traditional Operas Cultural Protection Zone and application of establishment of opera county of China and Youwan Nuo Cultural Park. It kept exploring more models for the protection of traditional operas and popularizing regional opera brand.
