From November 5 to 6, the final of Chenzhou ceramic traditional skills competition was held in the Root Carving Art Museum of Anren County. More than 40 ceramic masters competed in Anren County. Zhang Jun, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress and Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, attended and announced the opening of the competition.
This skill competition was sponsored by Chenzhou Federation of Trade Unions, undertaken by Anren County Federation of Trade Unions, and co organized by Chenzhou Arts and Crafts Association and Zhou Guozhen Ceramic Art Museum of Anren County. It aimed to improve the traditional ceramic skills of workers and promote the development of ceramic industry in our city. The competition consists of casting and ceramic sculpture, which are divided into preliminary competition and final competition. After the preliminary selection organized by counties (cities and districts), more than 40 ceramic masters participated in the final, which was composed of theoretical knowledge competition and production skills competition.
At the scene of the skill competition, the ceramic craftsmen were ready to go, seizing every minute, devoting themselves to their own creation. They took out the mud or blank they have prepared in advance and put them on the machine to fiddle with. They kept turning the handle on their hands, or stopped or stepped on their feet. After a while, the first exquisite ceramic works appeared in front of them. At every wonderful place, the audience did not grudge their applause and exclamations, and many citizens took the pictures with their mobile phones.

After fierce competition, Kuang Feng and Chen Yusheng won the first prize of casting and ceramic sculpture respectively. They will also be awarded the honorary title of "May 1st" Labor Medal of Chenzhou City by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions.
