The work, with the theme of rural revitalization, tells a touching story of Xiangzi, who returned to his hometown to start a business after working outside, and led his fellow villagers out of poverty and into prosperity. 

 

In the process of creation, Yongxing Huagu Opera Inheritance and Protection Center integrates the traditional Huagu opera performance with modern stage artistic expression. The opera showcases great changes in rural areas in the new era and the spirit of farmers’ struggle through the exquisite performance of the actors. The performance impressed the judges and audience.
