In recent years, Chenzhou city is with good development on the construction of volunteers work. More and more people joined the volunteer team to contribute themselves to the society. On September 21, 2012, the foundation conference of Chenzhou young volunteer federation & the 4th forum on volunteer development was held in Chenzhou city. Chenzhou municipal leaders- Dou Xiangyan and Li Xuelian attended the conference.

As to the development of Chenzhou young volunteer work, 47 brand volunteer organizations like Blessing city volunteer association, Chenzhou volunteer association, Liu Zhenmao environment protection volunteer team, “Home of Leifeng” volunteer station, etc. were continuously founded in Chenzhou, and different activities were carried on love for peasant workers’ children, love for the aged and disabled , assistance for the poor, environment protection, right protection and education and so on.

Till now, there has been over 0.1 million young volunteers available in Chenzhou city. All the volunteers expand their voluntary service spirit like“being contributive, friendly, helpful, progressive ” to the whole society with their kind behaviours, which were highly appraised by the Party, government and even the whole society. The main purpose for the foundation of Chenzhou young volunteer federation is to break the mechanism obstacles on the division and constrain of different fields and integrate all the resources together to mobilize more people to join in the volunteer team.

On the conference, Hao Manyin- deputy investigator of Communist Youth League of Chenzhou committee was elected to be the director of the first council of Chenzhou young volunteer federation. “Regulations of Chenzhou Young Volunteer Federation” (draft) was also approved on this conference. Meanwhile some excellent volunteer teams and volunteers of 2011 were got prizes there.

In the afternoon, the 4th forum on volunteer development was held. Gao Zhengrong- the president of Shenzhen Volunteer Federation gave a report on the internationalization and modernization trend of Shenzhen federation during the forum. Furthermore, volunteer federation of Zhuzhou Evening shared its working experience with Chenzhou volunteer teams.
