2012 Chenzhou charity working conference was held in Rucheng County

2012 Chenzhou charity working conference was held in Rucheng County on November 5, 2012. It was learned from the conference that Chenzhou charity work had been handled well in the recent four years. 114 million yuan charity funds were raised in Chenzhou city. 57.74 million yuan relief funds of this were discharged, benefiting 0.11 million people.
 

A “double track” avenue was well paved for the charity work

In recent years, there are different forms of charity activities for Chenzhou Charity Federation to raise the charity funds. Till the end of this October, the total amount of Chenzhou city’s charity funds has amounted to 42.44 million yuan, among which 21.79 million yuan was collected by Chenzhou Charity Federation and 20.64 million yuan from counties.
On the basis of colleting charity funds, Chenzhou Charity Federation established some charity funds with 20 million yuan to enhance its improvement. Yuteng Charity Funds was the first one founded in Chenzhou city in 2011. Yuteng Company will donate 2 million yuan in 6 consecutive years to set up a special fund.

Chenzhou Charity Federation established many projects to ensure the best usage of the funds. Six key projects were carried out, which enabled 0.115 million people to benefit from this fund support.

Yi Peikang- President of Chenzhou Charity Federation required that all the charity work should be carried out with innovation, positivity and great effort. The key points for the charity work in the next step need focus on one theme, which is the well-being, harmony, innovation, and developing. Two key constructions such as self-construction and charity culture should be heighted, and three key tasks like charity donation, aiding and propaganda work should be reinforced.

Charity working of counties achieved fruitful results

Chenzhou city’s charity work cannot go without the hard work from various levels of counties and districts. Different charity brands were forged in the counties with the help of loving enterprises and people.

“Yuteng fund” which was established by Beihu district charity federation and loving enterprise was a special fund for public services. 0.8 million yuan donations were collected in the district to implement the “loving well” project, which solve the drinking water problem for 1000 villagers. 0.6 million yuan was collected to initiate a “loving road” project, building a road with 20kms in length for the villages.

Per Suxian district, 100 children who suffered from NSCLP got the chance of taking free correct operations with the “smile train” project. Meanwhile, 0.6 million yuan was collected in the district to build 12 houses for the elders.

Rucheng county charity federation carried out an activity named “hepatitis B aid action” to provide free checks for more than 4000 people. Some were even subsided with pharmaceuticals.

In the last four years, following Chenzhou Charity Federation’s instruction, the charitable philosophy and atmosphere were greatly upgraded in Chenzhou city, ushering in a good momentum of development and opportunities and bringing new hope for the disadvantaged groups of Chenzhou.
