Chenzhou Education Foundation was improved with the innovation

It was learned from Chenzhou Education Foundation that 14.788 million yuan was donated to the 23369 poverty stricken students in 2013. It kept ranking first place on education-aid work in Hunan province for ten consecutive years.

“Loving education-aid”project was launched by Chenzhou Education Foundation in 2004, which was the first special education-aid project carried out in Hunan province. 7893 students were benefited from this fund in the first year of 2014, amounting to 1.285 million yuan. Chenzhou Education Foundation kept its advanced place in following years, though many cities of Hunan province carried out some similar activities afterward. In 2013, much more efforts were tried by Chenzhou municipal leaders to collect more funds for this education-aid work, such as Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee obtained 500,000 yuan donations from Changsha Bank, Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee confirmed to increase the rate of government purchase service expenditures from 38% to 40%, and Chenzhou Finance decided to allocated doubled operating funds for Chenzhou Education Foundation every year, accounting for 160,000 yuan.

More innovative working methods were carried out by Chenzhou Education Foundation to collect funds in recent years, such as title sponsorship. At the very beginning, just Chenzhou Cigarette Company participated in this sponsorship with 80,000 yuan funds. But along with years development, more enterprises took part in this activity with larger amount of funds. It was learned that Jinwang Bismuth Company increased its donation amount to 1.48 million yuan in the second half year of 2013 and promised to keep this level of donation for three years. It was the largest amount donation received by the federation from its establishment.

At the meantime, Chenzhou Education Foundation enhanced the cooperation with some departments and enterprises to handle joint education-aid activity. For example, “Hongdun education-aid” was carried out with Chenzhou Industrial and Commercial Bureau & Chenzhou Individual and Private Business Association, “Golden-autumn education-aid” was with Chenzhou Federation of Trade Unions, and “Xijiu, my university” was with Xijiu company. All these theme education-aid greatly helped to enhance its social influence.

Besides these, individual funds of education-aid were established by Chenzhou Education Foundation to encourage more social loving people joined in the work with this new platform and channel. At the very first beginning, just 100,000 yuan available in the individual funds account, but now it was with about one million yuan.
