October 9 is the 51st World Post Day. On the morning of the same day, Chenzhou Post's 11 county and urban postal branches and 3600 external service outlets simultaneously carried out various forms of Post Day celebration activities, such as fixed-point stalls, business propaganda and product display.
As an important social public utility and a basic, strategic and leading industry of the national economy, Chenzhou Post has always kept in mind the original mission of "people's post for the people". During the epidemic period, Chenzhou Post took the initiative to serve the overall situation of epidemic prevention and control. It provided dispatched services to 12 government service halls, 12 courts, tax and vehicle management departments in the city, and provided textbook delivery services for 133 schools in the city, with a delivery volume of more than 350,000 pieces.
In the work of poverty alleviation and assistance to agriculture, Chenzhou Post has implemented post delivery poverty alleviation and e-commerce poverty alleviation through the project of benefiting farmers. The total number of agricultural products brought into the city has reached 520,000 pieces, and the sales output value has reached more than 12 million yuan, which has solved the outstanding problems of "circulation difficulty" and "sales difficulty" in rural areas. This "World Post Day" campaign attracted a large number of citizens to stop to inquire about postal related business and participate in the theme activity. By 12:00 p.m., postal branches in 11 counties and urban areas of the city had received more than 150,000 customers and distributed more than 300,000 leaflets.
