Recently, Wu Mouyu, the villager in the Gaopo Village Yonglejiang Town Anren County introduced that he spent more than 5000 yuan a year on medical expenses before, but the county leaders have led the local hospital medical staff to help him cure disease and implement the medical poverty alleviation policies to reduce his medical expenses since 2016.

It was understood that in order to help the poor households in rural areas to accelerate the pace of poverty reduction, Anren County selected more than 1000 people as the key supporting objects after knowing the real situation and organized more than 1000 medical staff in the county and township medical units to sign the "Agreement on free service of medical staff for poor patients" and provide one to one service, telephone counseling, home visits, home care and family rehabilitation guidance. 

At the same time, the county set up the medical staff signing service management platform and supervised information on contracted medical staff to ensure the quality of service. At present, the medical staff signing up for poor patients have carried out more than 80 times of drug delivery and health sending activities, provided free medical examination to more than 7000 poor villagers, donated 30,000 yuan for poor patients and provided free drug of 500,000 yuan.
On the basis of full implementation of the basic medical insurance and financial purchase of commercial medical insurance, the county set up the temporary medical assistance mechanism of major illness for poor patients, and helped the poor patients with severe illness to pay the remaining self paid expenses at a certain proportion after the reimbursement of the new rural cooperative medical care system (NRCMS). The notices serving for poor masses were put in the Anren County and township medical institutions that all the poor farmers who participate in the NRCMS could enjoy free registration, free routine medical examination, cost reduction of instrument inspection and other preferential policies.
