The forum of experts on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) across the Taiwan Straits in Chenzhou was held on the evening of October 27. Liu Zhiren, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, and Dai Aiguo, President of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, had an in-depth discussion on further strengthening exchanges and cooperation and jointly promoting the development of traditional Chinese medicine in Chenzhou.
At the forum, representatives of TCM experts from both sides told about their experiences in learning and practicing medicine and shared their experiences. During the forum, Liu Zhiren welcomed the exchange of TCM experts from both sides. He said that thanks Hunan University of TCM for their concern and love for Chenzhou. He hoped that the two sides would strengthen exchanges in the TCM service to the common people and serve the grass-roots level, and jointly implement the spirit of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection in Hunan.
Liu Zhiren pointed out that traditional Chinese medicine is one of the quintessence of China, with a strong mission and broad prospects. In recent years, our city has adhered to the strategy of "innovation leading, opening up and rising" and "industry leading and all-round development", attached great importance to the development of traditional Chinese medicine, with a solid industrial foundation, obvious traffic location advantages, rich natural resources, and the advantages of health care resources. The development prospect is promising. Liu sincerely welcomed to inherit the excellent traditional culture and promote the development of TCM.
Liu Zhiren pointed out that compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Straits share the same origin and blood ties, and welcomed Taiwan compatriots to visit Chenzhou, understand Chenzhou, publicize Chenzhou and invest in Chenzhou, further deepen bilateral cooperation and exchanges, jointly realize the "China Dream", and promote the friendship between the two sides to yield fruitful results.
Dai Aiguo, President of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that in recent years, Chenzhou's achievements in economic and social development are desirable and the changes are obvious to all. He hoped that through this activities, the advantages of both sides in the field of health will be brought into play, cooperation and exchanges will be deepened, and ties will be strengthened, so as to contribute to the construction of a healthy China, a healthy Hunan and a healthy Chenzhou, and promote the long-lasting friendship between the two sides.
