It also gave on-site commendation to the kudzu root expert in Nandong Township, the top10 industry rich leaders, and the top10 farmers in the new era.

The climate in Nandong Township is warm and moist, the temperature difference between day and night is large, the sandy soil layer is fertile, and it is rich in a large number of organic substances and nutrients. It has a long history and unique natural conditions to plant kudzu root, Cortex Phellodendri, etc. In recent years, Nandong Township has adapted measures to local conditions, seized the historical opportunity of poverty alleviation, and implemented the development mode of "company + base + large household + peasant household". More than 5000 mu of Chinese medicinal materials such as kudzu root and chrysanthemum were planted in the whole township, with an output value of more than 25 million. There were 2534 poor households in 790 households in the township, and the poverty incidence rate dropped from 27 percent to 0.46 percent.

At the same time, Nandong Township registered trademark for kudzu root. The government and enterprises have joined hands to actively organize and participate in provincial and municipal poverty alleviation fairs and Agricultural Expo, hold Chinese herbal medicine festival, expand influence and broaden sales channels. At present, they have established long-term cooperative relations with pharmaceutical manufacturers in Hunan, Guangxi, Anhui and other places to achieve the goal of "producing and selling well". The traditional Chinese medicine industry has become the main industry for the people of Nandong to become rich and increase their income, and has built a green engine to promote the rural revitalization.
