Recently, the "2020 annual meeting of Mental/ Psychology Committee of Chenzhou Nursing Association and the seminar on new development of mental / psychological nursing" were held in Chenzhou Psychiatric Hospital. More than 100 nursing managers and backbone nurses from medical institutions at all levels in Chenzhou participated in the training.

Mental psychology is a very special field of expertise, playing an important role in the special period of new crown pneumonia. At present, under the background of establishing and perfecting the social mental health service system, nurses engaged in mental and psychology health work need to master more knowledge to enrich themselves. It was hoped that this annual academic meeting will be taken as an opportunity to build an academic exchange platform for mental / psychological nursing work in the whole city, so as to promote the all-round development of mental / psychological nursing work in the whole city.

Li Meizhi, Professor of Hunan Brain Hospital, was invited for the training. From the perspective of clinical psychology, she taught "care makes the heart bloom - nurses' mental health maintenance". She proposed that we should not only do a good job in nursing service, but also pay attention to the psychological health of nurses, and cultivate professional sense of achievement and professional self-confidence. The conference also set up two theme workshops and clinical nursing difficult cases discussion. Through experiential, participatory and interactive learning methods, the conference exchanged the treatment methods of mental rehabilitation and traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture therapy in psychiatric department, and taught them hand-in-hand. Through self experience, they can master the theoretical knowledge and application skills, and improve the level of psychological rehabilitation knowledge and skills. At the meeting, the representatives expressed their own opinions in combination with the clinical experience. Through these forms of teaching, not only let the participants learn new knowledge, but also shorten the distance between the students.

During the 2-day training, the nurses who participated in the study expressed that they should apply their knowledge to clinical work and better serve the majority of patients. Through the holding of the seminar, the professional ability and academic level of the nursing specialty of mental and psychological diseases in Chenzhou City were further improved, which injected a strong impetus into the discipline construction of mental and psychological disease nursing in Chenzhou City.
