Linwu county finance will pay for the fees of senior high middle school students from the term of this September

What was the hottest topic in Linwu county recently? It was no doubt for the news that it would be free for the county’s senior high middle school students from the term of this September. Linwu county finance will pay for the fees of senior high middle school with the following policy: no charge for tuition and books of the urban county’s high middle schools, 500-1000yuan subsidies for the poverty stricken students and rewards for the students who entered senior high middle school with high marks.

The policy details were released on August 20, 2013. According to the policy, students in the First and Second Middle School of Linwu county would save 1000yuan and 800 yuan tuition and book fees. Other middle schools students would be subsided with 500-1000yuan living expenses on the basis of students’condition. The students who entered the senior high middle school with A marks for all courses would be awarded with 300yuan reward and some more rewards would be issued to the excellent students every term. 

Concerning for the students of vocational education, there were also some relative policies carried out accordingly.

Hu Fu- one of the poverty stricken students’father was extremely happy to hear this news. If followed with this favorable policy, his son- Hu Zhitong can finish the senior high middle school with just paying living expenses.

With the nine-year compulsory education, more children and juveniles were benefited to receive the education. But some poverty stricken students can’t afford the senior middle school fees. Now this favorable policy enabled more students to get the education chance. “It is more helpful to reach the balance development of education in the county.”said the principal of Linwu Education Bureau.

It was learned that there were more than 3500 students in Linwu county’s senior high middle school. As measured by Linwu county’s bureau of finance, education and price, 11 million yuan needed to be spent on the senior high middle school, and more would be required in following years. Though such big amount would be a great pressure for Linwu county’s finance, the leaders of Linwu county assured that local government would conquer all the difficulties to guarantee the education funds.
