A new school term is coming. In order to check the preparation work carried out by schools of Chenzhou city, Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City investigated some schools of Chenzhou central areas. Qu stated that upgrading measures should be placed on the promotion of education to reach the balance development of compulsory education and meet people’s education demand.

Qu and his team visited Yongquan Primary School, Xiangnan Primary School, and Primary School of Xiangnan Institution and checked the detailed preparation work for new school term. Xiangnan Primary School, which was opened to public in August, 2011, was an accessory school on the basis of Chenzhou city’s development plan. Modern music room, art room, dance room, multifunctional lecture hall and other buildings were well-facilitated to the school. There were 15 classes with 437 students in the school under current situation. But because of the fast development of urbanization handled out around the area, more students required to enroll in the school. In order to meet the enrollment demand of the students in the area, Xiangnan Primary School was actively preparing for the new school term work now.

“Education carried the hope of a city” said Qu Hai. He also stated that it was important to achieve education equity on the development of compulsory education. All children were with the equal chance to obtain education. Overall development of every student should be promoted by the school, which should be measured as the basic standard of education quality. With this effort, examination-oriented education could be transformed as quality education and humanistic education.

Qu Hai visited special school, Dongwan school, Ailian school and some other schools under construction as well on this trip. Qu said, it was significant to upgrade the education quality under this period with accelerated scientific development. More efforts should be placed on the overall development of urban and rural areas’ compulsory education, principal public education service system, enhanced management of teaching staffs, etc. to improve Chenzhou city’s education condition.
