From December 19 to 20, the fifth "Siqing Lake Cup" science and technology sports model competition for primary and secondary school students was held in the Siqing Lake Youth Extracurricular Activity Center, attracting more than 300 model aircraft players from 10 counties (cities and districts) of the city.

The competition was sponsored by the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports and the Municipal Bureau of Education. Organized by the Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports of Beihu District and the Bureau of Education of Beihu District, it aimed to promote popular science education among young people, cultivate their active exploration ability and comprehensively promote quality education. During this period, the contestants competed fiercely in four major events and 11 minor events in the "Mickey No.1" electric free flying competition and "Nanhu Red Boat" model straight-line sailing race.

It was reported that, as a business card of out of school education for teenagers in our city, since its establishment in January 2015, Siqing Lake Youth Extracurricular Activity Center has invested more than 40 million yuan to build science popularization education facilities such as teaching complex building, outdoor football field, weather observation station and so on, aiming at experience, challenge, cooperation and growth, so as to effectively promote social practice activities of teenagers in the city.
