"Rucheng County carries forward the spirit of Furong and creates the brand of Furong, which sets a benchmark for running a school satisfactory to the people." On March 23, the on-site promotion meeting of Furong School project in Hunan Province was successfully held in Rucheng County.

Furong School in Rucheng County covers an area of 67.9 mu, with a construction area of 22000 square meters and a total investment of 115 million yuan. Now it has 89 teachers, 21 teaching classes and 976 students, of which 92.23 percent are rural students. As a newly built complete primary school, since the beginning of last autumn, the school has continuously deepened teaching reform, paid close attention to ideological and political education, and strived to create Furong brand with the goal of creating a new benchmark for the high-quality and balanced development of compulsory education.

Pay close attention to ideological and political education and inherit red gene：

The school has actively implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, inherited and carried forward the spirit of "half a quilt", paid close attention to ideological and political education, and inherited the red gene. The school has comprehensively promoted the "three complete education", established the evaluation mechanism of teachers' ideological and political education, taken the teachers' ideological and political education as an important basis for the evaluation of excellent and professional titles, created a good atmosphere for the whole staff to grasp the ideological and political education, and improved the ability and quality of all teachers' ideological and political education by holding research and training, teaching competitions, classroom observation and so on; at the same time, it has followed the principle of students' recognition, deepened the ideological and political curriculum reform, cultivated students' feelings of loving the Party, patriotism, socialism, the people and the collective, fully tapped the red culture, integrated the long march stories of the Red Army through Rucheng, such as "half a quilt", "Red Army loan receipt" and "a bowl of Camellia oleifera" into the classroom, and guided students to establish the ideal of being socialist builders and successors.

Outside the classroom, the school has made full use of Zhu De's Plaque, the General Health Department of the Red Army, the slogan house of the Red Army and other revolutionary sites to carry out speeches under the national flag, theme class meetings and other activities to let teachers and students bathe in red culture; and to carry out selection activities such as "star of civilization", "star of etiquette" and "good youth of the new era" to strengthen the education of civilization and etiquette.

Keeping pace with the times and making innovations, the school has established itself on high-quality education, actively explored the deep integration of information technology and education and teaching, and built a stage for the common growth of teachers and students.

In order to actively create the provincial education informatization benchmark school, the school has joined four rural schools, including Xiangnan University Affiliated Primary School, Rucheng County No.1 Primary School, and Rucheng County Lingxiu School, to build a "Shanglian famous school, Xialian Village Primary School" network joint school community, and join the "I am the successor" network classroom, so as to realize the synchronous classroom with the provincial Furong School, and jointly build and share high-quality resources.

The school has played a positive role in network joint school, built network joint school with famous schools and village primary schools, shared classroom, introduced the achievements of curriculum reform of famous schools into classroom, and improved the level of teaching quality. In the second semester of 2020, the school won the Chenzhou education and teaching quality management award and the first prize of Rucheng primary and secondary school education informatization (network joint school) target management assessment.
