The 13th “Tianping Cup” elderly croquet contest of Chenzhou judicial system was held in Chenzhou city on October 11, 2012. 13 teams with 140 retired judges and comrades attended this contest.

It is learned that “Tianping cup” croquet contest is an annual game held by Chenzhou judicial system. It is held in turn by Chenzhou intermediate people’s court and 11 basic-level courts from different counties and districts. Now a new turn starts. It was introduced by the Vice president of Chenzhou Intermediate People’s Court- Deng Mancheng that it is mainly for enriching the elderly people’s spiritual life by holding this contest.

One of the chiefs of the teams remarked that it was much better to share the joy in the croquet game with friends than stay at home. As a coordinate sport, croquet now boasts of such a high safety factor and mobilizing the whole body during the whole movement, such as the eye, brain, hand, which is more conducive to the health of older persons and becomes a popular game among the elderly people.
