It was learned from the preparatory work meeting of 2014 World Volleyball Championship Qualification Asia that the qualification games of Asia would be opened on September 20, 2013 in Chenzhou Sports Center. All the relative work was under preparatory stage.

According to the time schedule, games of Group C of male volley ball (including China, India, Chinese Taipei, and Saudi Arabia) would be held from September 20- 22, 2013 and games of Group B of female volleyball (including China, Korea, Kazakhstan, New Zealand and India) would be held from September 27- October 1, 2013. This qualification game was hosted by Asian Volleyball Confederation and Sports Management Center of State Physical Cultural Administration, undertaken by Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau and Chenzhou Government, and was coordinated by Management Center of Chenzhou Urban Construction and Investment and training base of Chenzhou female volleyball.

All the relative responsible departments shared their ideas and suggestions on the preparation work at the meeting. Liang Jianshou- Vice-chairman of Guangdong Volleyball Federation and Director of Referee Council was invited to attend the meeting. Liang stated that it was a high level volleyball game, so all the preparation work of competitions should be specified well preliminarily, and some working solutions and emergency plans should be figured out first to make sure all the issues can be handled out well once happened.

Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City delivered an important speech at the meeting. Qu said, it was an essential time for Chenzhou city’s establishment of “sports city and leisure city”, so all the departments should try best to carry out the game well to present a good image of Chenzhou worldwide. Though all the preparation work was under tight time schedule and heavy duty, all the relative departments should pay much more attention on the preparation work with detailed solutions and high quality. All the preparation work should be fulfilled before September 10, 2013. Some other departments should work together with relative responsible departments to ensure the game can be carried out well in Chenzhou city and impressed the audiences and game attendants with a good image of Chenzhou city.
