Test events for 2014 World Volleyball Championship Asian qualification were held in comprehensive stadium of Chenzhou Sports Center on September 7, 2013. Followed with the requirements listed by Volleyball Management Center of State General Administration of Sports, series comprehensive functions of the stadium were tested accordingly.

It was introduced by Yao Zhihua- Vice-general Manager of the construction party of the Chenzhou Sports Center that this comprehensive stadium was invested with about 280 million yuan, covering 17948.96 square meters. Indoor football, handball, basketball, volleyball, badminton, ping pong ball, tennis, gym, weight lifting, martial arts, and other sports games are available for this stadium. It is not only capable for providing an excise center for the citizens, but can be capable to undertake sports events as well.

“The audience can enter the stadium from four entrance. 5000 seats have been facilitated in the stadium, 4000 of which are fixed one and 1000 are sliding ones.” Yao said, “Till now, all the fields for the sports have been fulfilled, and the facilities have been set accordingly. Just some workings concerned for subsidiary facilities are still under finishing step.”

The first round test events was between Hunan Normal University female volleyball team and Central South University female volleyball team on September 7, 2013. Bi enmei- team captain of Hunan Normal University female volleyball team stated that it was great for Chenzhou Sports Center to be facilitated with such perfect equipments, large scale and space. Lu Sha- team captain of Central South University female volleyball team said it was formal for the setting of fields and venue schedule.

Tan Na- coach of Central South University female volleyball team appraised Chenzhou Sports Center as the top one she has ever been to, no matter on the hardware as the stadium and other equipments for games or on the software as the coordination and service.

Four special guests who were white-hair aged watched the test events. All of them were impressed with the large space and comfortable environment of the stadium. One of them even confirmed that she would come again when the formal qualification start.
