According to the notice of reward for 2009-2012 national advanced units and individuals of mass sports issued by the State General Administration of Sports, Xihe Sports Park and other nine units of Chenzhou city won the title of “national advanced unit of mass sports” and Liu Yang and Tan Xin won the title of “national advanced individual of mass sports”.

Along with the enhanced physical fitness awareness and extensive promotion of fitness activities, Chenzhou city’s sports projects were improved gradually in recent years. Some sports parks, squares, footpaths and other facilities were facilitated in urban and rural areas, which greatly helped to promote Chenzhou city’s establishment work on “sports city”. The ten units which won title of “national advanced unit of mass sports” were as follow: Chenzhou Education Bureau, Suxianling- Wanhuayan landscape management office, Wanhuachong community of Renmin street, Beihu district, Suxian district, Jiahe county, Yongxing county, Yizhang county, Chenzhou Xihe Sports Park, Chenzhou Sports School, and Third Middle School of Chenzhou City.
