The press conference for“Jingui silver group cup” 2014 China (Chenzhou) International Women’s Volleyball Tournament was held in Changsha city

It was reported that the press conference for “Jingui silver group cup” 2014 China (Chenzhou) International Women’s Volleyball Tournament was held in Changsha city on June 19, 2014. Cai Yi-Vice-chairman of Asian Volleyball Federation and Director of Competition Division of Volleyball Management Center of State Sports General Administration, Xiong Ni- Deputy Director of Hunan Sports Bureau, and Li Ping- Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou Government attended the press conference.

Cai Yi stated China International Women’s Volleyball Tournament was a long-term and qualified international A –level event handled out by Chinese Volleyball Federation. Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government placed much attention on the preparation work of this game and applied to undertake it. Chenzhou Sports Center, its security work and some other work were well met the basic standards to undertake the international game. Furthermore, the work on athletes’ reception, transportation and other aspects was qualified to handle the game.

Xiong Ni said Hunan province is a major sports province of China and is with far-ranging mass base of volleyball. As one of the sponsors of this international game, Chenzhou city successfully held the finals of Asian qualification competition of 2014 Women’s Volleyball World Championship, which showed its high-level attention and determination on handling volleyball games. Xiong Ni stated that Hunan Sports Bureau would work together with Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government to hold this game.

Li Ting said all the preparation work for this tournament was well carried out under schedule in Chenzhou city currently. A high grade organization committee was established as well with the working requirements of “high standard, high efficiency and high quality”. Relative departments cooperated well to promote the preparation work. As qualified by some officials of Asian Volleyball Federation and Volleyball Management Center of State Sports General Administration in 2013, Chenzhou Sports Center well met the standards to undertake international volleyball games. Followed with the requirements listed by Asian Volleyball Federation, Chenzhou city paid great attention on the food, accommodation, transportation and some other issues. Furthermore, some other departments as public security, armed police, fire control, transportation, sanitary, epidemic prevention, and etc. were organized to check the safety work of this game. High-level propaganda work would be promoted in Chenzhou city to form a sound competition condition to the game and grant all volleyball fans to enjoy the game well.

It was introduced that 2014 China (Chenzhou) International Women’s Volleyball Tournament would be held in Chenzhou city from July 3 to 5, 2014 in Chenzhou Sports Center, which was the first international volleyball games held in Hunan province. China, Thailand, Belgium and Dominica will attend this game
