It was reported that at 10:00a.m. of September 10, 2014, Chenzhou Jiahe section of 2014 Trans-China Cycling opens on time. Ou’yang Bin- Vice-chairman of Hunan Provincial CPPCC announced the opening of the cycling. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech there.

Trans-China International Highway Cycling was a high level international game approved by International Cycling Union and the State General Administration of Sports and sponsored by Cycling and Fencing Management Center of the State General Administration of Sports and China Cycling Association.

Chenzhou Jiahe section was the second stop of the second stage of 2014 Trans-China Cycling. Over 100 athletes of 22 teams from 18 countries joined in this competition which was mainly for level roads. This 140.5 kilo meters long section was started from Chenzhou Sports Center, via Chenyong Avenue, Chenzhou High-tech Industrial Zone, Chenzhou Avenue, Guijia road, and ended at Jiulaofeng landscape in Jiahe county.

Qu Hai expressed his congratulations to the opening of the cycling on behalf of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government. Qu presented a brief introduction of Chenzhou city’s situation and its development of sports industry. He thanked the State General Administration of Sports’ attention and trust placed on Chenzhou city to undertake Chenzhou Jiahe section of 2014 Trans-China International Highway Cycling. It was not a review for Chenzhou city’s capacity on holding large scale international sports event, but also a bridge to introduce and promote Chenzhou city internationally.

At 1:00p.m. of that day, all the athletes arrived at the end and indicated the cycling was closed successfully. Boris from China Taipei won the champion in this stop and won yellow shirt as well.

Li Shun- Director of Hunan Provincial Administration of Sports and some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city attended this opening ceremony and joined in honor cycling as well.
