It was reported that 2014 “Sports Lottery Cup” Chinese Basketball Open finals of Hunan province & Hunan provincial basketball league (cities and autonomous prefectures ) was held in Chenzhou Stadium from Oct. 20-24, 2014. 14 basketball teams from Hunan province tried their best to compete with each other.

At the night of Oct. 23, 2014, Chenzhou city vs. Huaihua city was an excellent game. At the first quarter, Chenzhou team played well and led the team with the score of 9:0 which made Huaihua team under high pressure. But Huaihua team adjusted their condition to catch up with Chenzhou city and finally ended with the score of 20:20 at the end of the first quarter. In the second and third quarter, the score of two teams was kept close. In the final quarter, due to sound behavior of Chenzhou team members who got 2 three-point shots, it finally won the game with the score of 84:74.

At the night of Oct.24, 2014, after tensed competition, Chenzhou team won the champion of this cup. Huaihua team and Changde team won the second and third place respectively. The three teams would attend the finals of comprehensive group , which would be held from Nov.2- 9, 2014 in Changsha city.

It was learned that Chinese Basketball Open was one of the highest level amateur basketball contests. Finals of Hunan province & Hunan provincial league was sponsored by Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau. It was purposely to promote the fitness activities, provide public service platform for the amateur basketball games, advocated the society to take active actions on joining basketball games and popularize the concept of fitness. The public welfare funds of sports lottery was helpful to support the implementation of “national fitness plan”and well played the function of Chinese sports lottery as “people oriented”.
