On November 1, 2020, Hunan Chenzhou Crosss-country Running Festival and the third Suxianling Mountain Race opened in Fudi Square, Suxian District. The competition was hosted by Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau, and undertaken by the Municipal National Fitness Service Center and Suxian District Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau. The competition was divided into three groups: 27 km group, 7.5 km group and 4 km parent-child group. There were more than 1000 players participating in the competition, including 200 people in the 27km group, 600 in the 7.5km group and 100 in the 4km parent-child group. The contestants started from Suxian Fudi Square, passed through Wanfu Mountain, Taohuaju and other places, and went straight down the road to return to Suxian Fudi Square.

"I feel very happy to participate in this competition, not only to exercise with children, but also to enhance the relationship between parents and children." A citizen who took his children to participate in the 4-kilometer parent-child competition told reporters.

It was understood that Suxianling Mountain Race is currently the largest cross-country race event in Chenzhou. The purpose of holding this race is to create a nationwide fitness atmosphere in the city, to show Chenzhou's unique natural scenery and local culture while improving the physical fitness of the general public, and to promote sports culture and tourism health, so as to further enhance the popularity and reputation of Chenzhou City.
